Background

In January 2020 newly acquainted singer, Lizzie Freeborn and songwriter Amy Woodburn came up with the idea of creating songs together to raise the profile of the climate crisis. ISYLA released their debut album Where She Walks in summer 2020 and follow up album Of Blood and Star in Spring 2022.

Always attempting to unite listeners and find ways to draw attention to the greatest challenge ever to face humans and its underpinning themes, ISYLA aim to move and inspire.

The Band

Cornwall, UK based Lizzie, 22 and Amy, 45, though a generation apart, share much. Both had a musical up-bringing rich in folk music that underpins their love for the melodic. Most importantly the two are strongly bonded by their concern for their beautiful home, earth.

Multi instrumentalist Ashley Height and jazzed trained drummer Matt Griffiths join the pair for their live journey and the creation of material in 2023. Watch this space!
